Lana Janjanin – Pianist / Singer / Composer from croatia.
She began to play piano at the age of four and discovered jazz for herself after she won the 1st place in the National Chamber Music Competition in Zagreb with a piano duo. The following year she began to write her own compositions, especially in the area of jazz, which she exclusively arranged for concerts, performed and sang herself. At the age of twelve she went to the “Glazbeno Učilište Elly Bašić” middle school, where she studied counterpoint, harmony, chamber music and music analysis, with piano as a major subject, and graduated with distinction at the age of 17 with a focus on music. In June 2008, Lana began her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Numerous projects and concerts followed, in jazz as well as in classical music, where she could demonstrate her talents as a pianist, singer/songwriter and composer. At present she is working intensively on her debut album which will be released in 2016. Her musical spectrum ranges from jazz, soul,classic, pop, trough radio to balkan jazz. She is a regular guest at various festivals in Croatia including the “All Women Jazz Festival Jazzarella” and often performs with the Croatian Radio-Television Jazz Orchestra (HRT Big Band)
